South Korean artist Doowon Lee’s US debut, Doowon and the Golden Fish Submarine Arrive in New York, transforms ACA Galleries into a portal of intercultural wonder. From April 8 to May 31, 2025, visitors will encounter large-scale paintings, handwoven rugs, and multimedia works that blend Lee’s nomadic experiences in Pakistan’s Hunza Valley with Korean ink traditions and sci-fi whimsy.

Rejecting formal art education, Lee’s raw, intuitive style merges Pakistani wool, Nepali hemp, and personal mythologies into multimedia masterpieces.
