This spring, Miami’s burgeoning Baker, Hall gallery invites viewers to embark on a poignant exploration of introspection and the beauty found within quietude with its group exhibition, “Windows.” Co-curated by Marlee Katz Snow and Baker, Hall, this thoughtfully assembled collection, running from March 28 to April 26, 2025, features the compelling works of thirteen artists from across the United States, including Sara Suppan, Anna Berghuis, Bradley Wood, Deb Koo, and Thomas Bils. Conceived during a period of global pause, “Windows” utilizes the window as both a literal motif and a powerful metaphor, framing our perspectives on the external world while simultaneously encouraging a deeper look inward. Through painting, and possibly other mediums (needs further research), the artists featured in “Windows” eschew grandiosity, instead focusing on the subtle yet profound aspects of domesticity, memory, and the emotional landscapes that shape our everyday lives. The exhibition serves as a compelling reminder of the significance of stillness and the act of truly seeing the world and ourselves with fresh, contemplative eyes.
