Mr. Doodle, the internationally acclaimed artist Sam Cox, has revealed a monumental 203-meter-long doodle at the intersection of Beaver Road, Avenue Jacques Faucheux, and Victoria Road near Ashford town centre. Painted in a single day, this striking black-and-white artwork, adorned with his signature cartoonish designs, is displayed on the hoardings of a site slated for the borough’s tallest building, the Infinity residential apartments. Described as one of the world’s “longest artworks” by Ashford Borough Council (ABC), the piece is a testament to Mr. Doodle’s artistic energy, with ABC’s arts and cultural industries manager Chris Dixon praising the outcome as “fantastic.”
Rising to fame after covering his Tenterden home in doodles, Mr. Doodle’s playful art style has captivated millions online, bolstering his international acclaim. In 2024, his journey was chronicled in the documentary The Trouble with Mr Doodle, which delves into his creative obsession and personal challenges. Reflecting on the film, he called it “my favourite thing I've ever been involved in.” Now, this latest artwork at Ashford’s gateway further solidifies his place as a visionary artist transforming public spaces.
