Book reviews are evaluated through a free submission route. To be considered, please use the dedicated Book Review form and provide complete, review-ready information. If the submission is a match, a response is typically sent within five business days.

Submit the free Book Review request here: thearttimes.com/booksreview/index.html. The form helps route submissions efficiently and reduces back-and-forth about formats, rights, and availability.

Book review submissions are also used to evaluate future opportunities for self-publishers. A dedicated platform is planned to support independent authors and small presses in selling books directly, including a launch phase that may allow one month with no percentage-based commission for eligible titles.

What are the selection criteria for publishing a book review?

Reviews are selected based on editorial fit, clarity of the book’s concept, production quality, reader relevance, and whether the submission includes complete, verifiable details (title, author, release date, category, synopsis, and a readable review copy). Selection is not guaranteed.

Will I receive a reply if my book is not accepted?

A reply is provided only if the submission is selected for review or if additional information is required. Due to volume, individual decline messages are not guaranteed.

If I send a physical copy, will it be returned?

No. Physical review copies are not returned. If accepted or received, books may be donated with other titles to libraries or comparable educational and cultural collections.

Does a book review cost anything if it is accepted?

The initial Book Review request is submitted via a free form. If a title is selected, any optional paid enhancements (such as premium placements or extended campaign modules) are discussed separately and are never required for editorial consideration.

What does a book review on Art Times do for my book?

A review can strengthen discoverability by creating an editorial reference page that can appear in search results, support credibility for press kits and retailer outreach, and provide a durable citation that authors and publishers can share across professional channels.
